Cookie Policy
Effective date: March 10, 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how Infinite Ideas, LLC (“we”, “us”, or “our”) uses cookies and similar tracking technologies on the Cmark platform (the “Service”). This policy should be read alongside our Privacy Policy.
1. What Are Cookies?
A cookie is a small text file placed on your device when you visit a website. Cookies help websites function correctly, remember your preferences, and collect information about how visitors use the site.
Beyond traditional cookies, we and our partners also use:
- Local storage — data saved in your browser that persists between sessions until manually cleared.
- Session storage — temporary data cleared automatically when you close a browser tab.
- Tracking pixels — small transparent images embedded in pages or emails that signal when content has been opened or viewed.
2. Categories of Cookies We Use
2.1 Strictly Necessary Cookies
These cookies are required for the Service to function. Without them, core features such as logging in and navigating between pages will not work.
- Authentication session — keeps you logged in as you navigate the platform. Set by our authentication infrastructure and managed as a secure, HTTP-only cookie.
- CSRF protection — short-lived tokens stored in cookies or session storage that prevent cross-site request forgery attacks.
- Security and anti-abuse — cookies that help detect and prevent automated attacks, bot activity, or unauthorized access attempts.
Because these cookies are essential to the operation of the Service, they are set without requiring your prior consent. Blocking them in your browser settings will prevent login and other core functionality from working.
2.2 Preference Cookies
These cookies remember choices you make to improve your experience on the platform.
- UI state — remembers display preferences, filter selections, or navigation state within creator and sponsor dashboards.
2.3 Analytics Cookies
We use analytics tools to understand how the Service is used and to identify ways to improve it.
- First-party analytics — a lightweight analytics script provided by our hosting platform (Vercel Analytics) measures aggregate traffic patterns, page views, and navigation flows.
- Third-party web analytics — if configured, we use a tag management system and web analytics service (Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics 4) that set cookies to track session duration, page interactions, and returning visitor patterns. These services provide aggregated reports; they do not receive your name or contact details.
- Custom event tracking — when you view or interact with media on the platform, we record events (views, clicks, impressions) in our own database. These records are linked to session and anonymous identifiers rather than your account details wherever possible.
Analytics cookies that set third-party cookies require your consent. You can withdraw consent at any time using the browser settings or controls described in Section 4.
2.4 Marketing and Attribution Cookies
If marketing or attribution tracking is active, cookies or pixels may be set to measure sponsorship attribution (tracking clicks on brand marks to attribute conversions to specific campaigns) and affiliate or referral tracking (assigning credit for sign-ups or actions that originate from specific links or campaigns).
We do not sell your data to advertising networks. Any third-party measurement services we use are bound by data processing agreements that restrict how they may use collected data.
3. Third-Party Cookies
Some cookies described above are set by third-party service providers rather than by Cmark directly. Those providers operate under their own privacy policies. We do not control third-party cookies.
4. How to Manage Cookies
Browser Controls
Most modern browsers allow you to view, block, or delete cookies through their settings panel. Look for a “Privacy”, “Security”, or “Cookies” section in your browser’s preferences. You can typically:
- Block all third-party cookies while allowing first-party cookies.
- Clear existing cookies for a specific site or all sites.
- Set the browser to notify you when a cookie is being set.
Note that blocking strictly necessary cookies will prevent login and core features from working. Blocking analytics or marketing cookies will not affect your ability to use the platform.
Analytics Opt-Out
To prevent third-party analytics services from tracking your activity:
- Enable “Do Not Track” or equivalent privacy signals in your browser. Not all analytics providers honour this signal.
- Install a browser extension that blocks tracking scripts.
- Contact us at hello@cmark.media to discuss additional opt-out options.
In-Product Controls
Where we provide cookie preference controls within the platform interface, you can use those to adjust your choices at any time without needing to change browser settings.
5. Cookie Retention
- Strictly necessary (session) — duration of your browsing session or until logout.
- Strictly necessary (security) — short-lived; usually minutes to hours.
- Preferences — up to 12 months or until you clear your browser data.
- Analytics — varies by provider; typically 13–26 months.
- Marketing / attribution — varies by provider; typically 30–90 days.
Retention periods for third-party cookies may differ from the above. Consult the relevant provider’s documentation for exact retention.
6. Relationship to the Privacy Policy
Our use of cookies is part of the broader data collection and processing activities described in the Privacy Policy. Strictly necessary cookies rely on our legitimate interest in operating the Service. Analytics and marketing cookies rely on consent where required by law.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy when we add or remove tracking technologies or change our practices. We will notify you of material changes consistent with the process described in the Privacy Policy.
